Services

The editors and staff at the Wisconsin State Journal would like you to consider them a valuable resource that can assist you in your educational mission. Here's what they can offer:

Social Science – Talk to classes about the role of the press in a free society. They will demonstrate the First Amendment in action.

English – Show classes how to use journalistic writing methods. Students will write the "lead" to a breaking news story.

Start a School Paper – Provide useful advice for first-time advisers. A good school paper can be a great learning experience.

Improve a School Paper – Tired of horoscopes, meandering musings and opinion not backed by fact? This session will show students how to write in-depth about topics they're interested in.

No fee is charged for these services. Requests are subject to the availability of the Wisconsin State Journal staff based on other commitments and responsibilities.

Please contact Tim Kelley, Managing Editor, for more information: (608) 252-6115 or tkelley@madison.com.

See how two daily newspapers are produced under one roof - from start to finish!
