The Valley of No Return

Newspapers in Education and the Wisconsin State Journal are making it easy to help get kids reading the newspaper. Every Monday from September 14 to December 14, a chapter of the 14-part serial The Valley of No Return by John Tomerlin will appear in the main news section of the Wisconsin State Journal.

Writing Contest

Middle schoolers are invited to submit entries on "The Best Time I Ever Spent with ________________." (Choose family/friend over age 50 or with a physical or developmental disability.) The Top 100 entries will be published in a book.
